Dr. Sally Ryan appointed to Board of American Animal Hospital Association

Eden Prairie – Dr. Sally Ryan has been appointed to the Board of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) at their annual conference on March 26-29.

Dr. Ryan is a practicing veterinarian and is the Medical Director of Affiliated Emergency Veterinary Service (AEVS) since 2002. In addition to leading the Minneapolis metropolitan clinics in Golden Valley, Coon Rapids and a 24 hour facility in Eden Prairie, she was instrumental in the expansion of AEVS clinics to add St. Cloud, Rochester and Duluth, Minnesota.

Dr. Ryan received her doctorate of veterinary medicine degree from Oklahoma State University. She started her career at an emergency and critical care center in Oklahoma City and moved on to be a Staff Veterinarian and supervisor of an animal shelter. After a few years in a day practice setting, Dr. Ryan returned to emergency and critical care as clinician and medical director of AEVS.

AAHA was founded in 1933 and is the only association that provides voluntary accreditation to companion animal hospitals. Approximately 3,000 veterinary hospitals in the United States have made a commitment to meeting the highest standards of veterinary care.
